Lackluster National Parks

The most boring national park I've ever been to was Petrified Forest in Eastern Arizona. It was flat desert interrupted by buttes and stuff, and the main attraction was rocks that were shaped liked trees. I understand that they're 300 million year old trees, but it didn't feel like something on the level of a national park. What are some other not as impressive national parks you can think of or have been to?
You're not allowed to drive around in the park, so all you can really do is take a bus (an uncomfortable old school bus) into the park where you might see a bear in the distance.
The landscape is surprisingly ugly.
Also you won't actually see the mountain 99% of the time.
Congaree was the worst one I have been too. It was a plain old forest.
Carlsbad Caverns would probably be my favorite, good cardio and nice rock formations
The flies constantly bombard your nose, eyes, and ears looking to nip a bit of moisture.
Absolutely miserable.
1. Grand Teton - gorgeous mountains, Jenny Lake is gorgeous, great hikes, saw gorgeous sunrise by Mormon Row. Saw some elk.
2. Yellowstone - spent 3 days here, huge park. Loved the canyon and Lamar valley. Geysers and hot springs were cool also. Saw tons of bison and even a bear.
3. Zion - hiked to Scout's landing (just before Angel's landing) and saw gorgeous views. Did part of the narrows hike.
HM- Rocky Mountain, Grand Canyon, Great Sand Dunes
If we are counting other countries though, Banff in Canada is by far number #1 and Isla Contoy in Mexico is also stunning.
Except Point Pelee. It's only notable for being the southernmost point in Canada. There's quite literally nothing there except look at Lake Erie from 12 different angles.
As for my most boring, congratulations to Joshua Tree
It's just desert
