Todday has been a true Gold Rush for many quizmakers, probably seeking for features. In a sort of general chaos, tens of quizzes of this kind have been published accross all the sections of the site, but of course especially the same one. And especially the English one. And of course many quizzes were overlapping some created a few hours or even minutes ago.
We should all be more careful when publishing a quiz, especially in such a particular situation. But the most bothering thing in this whole story in my humble opinion is that many of us are forgetting about the original Dimby's quizzes.
Just to take an example, today, two sudden death quizzes about prime numbers have been published by Luni and SirPhilippines... while Dimby had already created one five months ago.
EDIT: SirPhilippines ended up in switching his quiz to private. Thank you a lot for that!
After having spent thousands of hours on the site, I of course know that publishing an already-existing quiz is quite a common thing, even is very boring. But in that case, I feel like that's super disrespectuf of Dimby who is giving us all these quizmaking opportunities.
So what is my message? Well, let's be smart together. Let's check if a quiz doesn't already exist before publishing one. Let's remove or switch to private quizzes we published without realising that there was already a same one before. And most of all, let's respect, thank and congratulate our dear Dimby.
This definitely needed to be said, and I'm glad you chose to say it
Glad you found this thread useful.
