Levels

Submitted by WOFfan21 on December 15, 2025
Just wondering if anyone else on here likes grinding points for levels. I think it's just a fun way to learn new and often really not usable information. I've seen people with really high quiz levels, and I always wonder how they get so many points because it always feels like there are just not enough featured quizzes, definitely considering that I for one, don't know half of the quizzes that are featured.

i'm not a huge fan of grinding quizzes for points, tbh. i have been a high level before, on an old account i was level 50-something and that was just from being active on the site for a few years

There are a lot of featured quizzes, just click on the little shield icon, got to "All", select the tag you want and order by points (increasing).

It's fun until you've exhausted everything, save for pop culture and sports...

yes agreed pop culture is honestly my savior for quizzes. That and music.

I think what they mean is that they've done most of the quizzes except pop culture and music.

I mean, that's sort of the entire point of JetPunk...though some grind too much considering I am exhausted at just level 59

I enjoy grinding for levels every now and then, especially if I find a series that's interesting to do, like the general knowledge quizzes.

After level 80 it's kind of a slog but only if you are actively trying to level up constantly.

If there wasn't a leveling up system I'd probably use jetpunk a fraction of how much I do now

I mean, once you reach the point where each level is 1,000 points, then it becomes a slog.

I too like to go on brief grinding sessions every now and then. I keep saying to myself that I've reached my personal max, but I keep grinding more points. A never ending cycle.

I think the level system doesn't really mean much anymore beyond level 40.

Below that level you have to work your way up to unlock certain features of the site (commenting, blogging, etc). But after level 40 pretty much the only thing you get is spotlight awards (for lvl 50+) which are pretty rare anyway.

I suppose the level system is meant to keep people hooked to the site, but as it stands right now, it can't do that very well unless they add more privileges to high-level users.

Also, unrelated, but around April or May 2022 there was an incident that apparently reset some people to level 1, myself included. I panicked really bad at that time.

Really? wow, I never heard about this. I would freak out too, after losing all my grind :(

You shouldn't have to level up to unlock certain features, it's only there to avoid bots or people making alts from abusing things.

The levels in themselves are the reward, and if that's not satisfying than you don't have to worry about them.

Wait, what happened in that incident??? (Is that why there are so many level 1 people as of now? Inactive people losing their levels?)

Well it was fixed pretty quickly and people got their levels back. It wasn't really their fault.

Inactive people do lose levels over time (because of quizzes resetting), but it's not because of that incident and there's no way they can go all the way back to level 1 (since some quizzes don't need to reset at all).

Well here's some math:

Two years is 730 days (actually 731 because 2024 was a leap year), so two years ago today (Dec 15, 2023) they had a 27 day streak.

If you go another 26 days back from there you'll find that their streak began on Nov 19, 2023.

The streak feature was only introduced in late September 2023. Crazy indeed.

Correct, it’s just for people to have fun taking quizzes and learning, I still think it’s a good feature to have though.

I like grinding for points... like the people about said, it does get more tiring and repetitive once you reach the point where you need 1000 points per level.

Well to be honest I can already feel it at level 55 where it just went up from 250 to 500 points per level.

I've kinda given up grinding for points, for now at least. I might grind again at some point if I feel like it though.

I would never consider grinding for levels. Complete waste of time and I'm grateful to have never wasted such a significant portion of my life on this website.

I used to grind steadily, getting a new level almost exactly every 2 months, no matter the step up.

Then I started getting busy in my offline life and I haven't gained a level in months

(Talking about my main account here btw)

That's sad. I've had a lot of time recently, so am aiming for around 250 points a day... (lol, almost catching up to your main account...)
