Lifespan of Threads

Hi JetPunk Community,

Looking at different message board threads and comment sections of some featured quizzes, what is the average lifespan of a featured quiz or message board post until people stop commenting on it?

From my experience with message Board the threads die out in 2-3 days

I unfortunately do not have any Featured Quizzes so I do not know the lifespan of that.

Featured quizzes in my experience will usually fall off a lot about three days after the front page. Then the get 20-50 takes per day, which means comments aren’t overly likely. My more popular featured quizzes get comments every week or so.

Interesting, my featured word search puzzle, which has been featured for four days now, receives around 50 takes per day and one comment per day. It is yet to have seen the front page but I wonder if this trend is different with Word Searches.

A small number of threads can still receive new likes and/or comments more than a week after posting, but these are rare and in general the average lifespan is around 2-3 days and most threads stop getting likes and comments within 5 days

For features, Dimby is mostly correct with what he said, but it also depends on how replayable / unique the quiz is. For example Dimby's pin on a map quizzes get thousands of takes per day, so got to have a good quiz I guess.

Yah. A lot of comments usually means the quiz is absolutely amazing or your quiz needs some fixing

So high comment density means it is either great or horrible.

My top featured quiz still gets around 500 takes a week, no comment though

Message board comments usually stop after a couple of days. It's rare for one to be commented on after a week.

With quizzes, I have 3 featured quizzes, and they get occasional comments, as do some of my non-featured quizzes.

When you say occasional. Do you mean like 1 per week.

No, not that often. I think I may have had half a dozen comments across my 3 featured quizzes in the last year or so. They are very infrequent. I get an occasional comment on one of my other quizzes every now and again, usually to tell me something I've done or spelt wrong.
