Most remote place you know?

Submitted by zarodinu on March 10, 2026
Having been to it is bonus points. Outside of the super obvious ones, the Great Basin like in Central Nevada is incredibly empty. There are many places that could be mentioned beside this. Will love to hear.

I have been there; it was quite dissapointing. Just an endless expanse of water. Definitely one of the remote places I've been to.

How'd you end up at Point Nemo? I guess it is a boring place but it does seem like a cool accomplishment to have been there.

“So I went to this spot over 1,600 miles away from any land in the Southern Ocean. I get there and look around, and I says, ‘by golly, it’s all water!’”

feel like that would fall under the "well known" category.

Northern Canada, like the expanses of Nunavut or NWT to even somewhere such as like Labrador, N. Ontario, or much of Quebéc

Yeah I've always wondered about that area of northern Quebec. The NWT and Nunavut are better known though.

I mean the answer has to be Antarctica, but as for most remote place I've been to it is indeed Central Nevada

Most remote place is the furthest galaxy discovered, I believe be MoM-z14 or similar, like 20 billion light years away. Probably not the answer you're looking for but the technical answer to the question I guess.
