Most unexpected borders?

What are the most unexpected borders you know of? I'll start: Tasmania technically borders Victoria on a tiny, uninhabited rock.

Nunavut borders a Newfoundland and Labrador on a now uninhabited island. The island is also closest to Quebec.

Sweden and Finland. While the border itself is very normal and expected, there is a tiny island that is split 50/50 between the two in a very unusual way.

Did you know? Canada and Greenland share a border on the little known, very obscure, top secret Hans Island.

NO. I refuse to believe Hans Island exists. I believe it is a government scheme created by Russia to make a sense of confusion.

Also, Colorado looks rectangular but it is not. In fact, it has 697 sides!

Wyoming is actually a trapezoid if you look at it from space

Well technically you can't draw a perfect rectangle on Earth, since it's a sphere.

Oman and the UAE.

So you have an Omani enclave in the UAE, then you have an Emirati enclave inside of THAT enclave.

…Wha?

Oh, and at the northeastern point of the UAE is ANOTHER Omani enclave. So if you drive in a straight line down from there to the rest of Oman, you go Oman>UAE>Oman>UAE>Oman>UAE>Oman.

It’s just common sense.

Argentina and Uruguay have one natural land border, which is Martin Garcia Island. Everything else is under the Rio de la Plata.
