Nauru changing its name?

It seems like Nauru will change its name to "Naoero", cuz it seems like the parliament made a 16-0 voting in favor of changing the name of the country, cuz Nauru is too colonial and Naoero sounds cool.
New York Times made an article about it.
Personally, I think this is gonna end like Turkey's new name "Turkiyë", everybody will just call it Nauru because we are used to it.

On the other hand a small country like Nauru isn't well known. If someone knows it, they probably will also know that is is officially Naoero (under the assumption the name change goes through). I imagine this is the case with Eswatini, which we no longer refer to as Swaziland on JetPunk.
