Point System for Reset Quizzes

I'm a little frustrated with the interplay between the point system and reset quizzes and how it punishes taking quizzes right after they are reset. Right after a quiz is reset it notifies everyone who already took it, and a lot of people who are disproportionally knowledgeable about the topic take it immediately. This results in the quiz statistics being skewed upward and results in less points being awarded for the same quiz score than would be given if the statistics were accurate. As an example, "Every 1,000,000+ City on a Map" was reset yesterday. A day later, you need 641/642 for 5 points and 252/642 just for one point. If I remember correctly, about 400/642 would have gotten you 5 points before the reset, but now that would only get you 3 points. I'm not sure exactly how to fix this, but perhaps we could wait a week or two to award points for reset quizzes so the statistics level out?

That wouldn't work. The JetPunk regulars are freaks who memorize vast amounts of geography. They're also the ones who are likely to immediately rewrite the quizzes that get reset. If they didn't get points, they would likely wait to get those sweet points whenever the actually points count. The easiest way to resolve this is to be a geography freak. If that fails... you can just wait a few weeks until it's back on JetPunk's front page.
