Potential Word Search Additions?

After a few days with the awesome new word search feature being publicized, I wonder if there will be any additions to the feature, possibly some updates similar to how quizzes work.

For example, a nominations system or a rating for each puzzle, allowing for more community involvement. Stewart mentioned an eventual leader board for puzzle takes, but only after more puzzles are published and taken to avoid spam.

I envision some nice updates, but then again, income is most likely a factor in how advanced this feature will become. Keeping it simple seems reasonable, yet more additions would be very much welcome as Word Searches continue to popularize on the site.

I know all of this took/takes time to code, and not everything is ideal for the site or the admins themselves. What are your thoughts on Word Searches and potential changes?

Whether or not any other additions or changes are made, let's all thank Stewart for this amazing new update, and bringing so much more life to the site!

I think it is too early to evaluate the possibilities of adjusting the system. As time goes on the issues will become more apparent and then that would be when it would be adjusted.

Good ideas. And yes, it's (in my opinion) one of the biggest updates to JetPunk in the past few years.

There have been consistent big updates in the past few years, like the FP, two new quiz types, an overhaul of a forgotten aspect, it goes on. It's these big things that bring the community closer.

Also, just FYI, they pushed a few minor updates to the word search before the big overhaul happened, like counting them for streaks and putting up a few new puzzles.

But still, none of that felt like a prequel to a major update to me, and I am still very much pleasantly surprised by the update.

I got a little suspicious when the word search number kept increasing instead of being random each day, but I never suspected much either
