Question about the search bar

Submitted by BautyArg on May 7, 2026
Is it posible that some quizzes are hidden by the mods so that they cannot appear when searched in the search bar, but they're still public?

I believe it takes a while for a quiz to appear on the search bar after becoming public. I have run into the problem where I release a quiz/puzzle and search for it in the search bar, and it doesn't show up. I try again later, and it works.

There is this factor, but also the way we index our quizzes for search means quizzes with popular terms in the title won't appear for those words.

E.g. if your quiz is "Countries with Iguanas", then searching "countries" won't appear because there are 20k+ quizzes with that word in their title and it is unlikely this has a high enough takes to be visible. However searching "iguana" would instead show your quiz quite easily.

I have a Grizzy and the lemmings quiz, but I have to search lemmings for it to show up on the search bar. Kinda weird...

No? I mean, it's sometimes the case, but not with your quiz. "gri" isn't common enough.

Oh, I guess it works now! It wasn’t working before 🤷‍♂️
