Search criteria

I would like to know how the search criteria work here. I’ve noticed that when I search for some quizzes, they don’t appear in the search bar. I have to click “Search on Google” to find them. Is there a reason why they don’t show up directly in the search bar?

The search system was built when the site was smaller so it is fairly rudimentary.

It's based on the first three letters you type, and then it loads a file with all the quizzes with those letters and filters it based on further typing.

There is a limit to how many quizzes can appear in each file. The gazillionth country quiz probably won't appear.

To decide which quizzes appear we rank on a variety of factors including newness, times taken, and rating. New quizzes always appear.

I might have to think about how to improve this.

I was thinking about this earlier, but the thing is, while a nicer search system would be cool, just clicking check on google works more than fine enough to find things.
