Solomon Islands type-ins

Should there be more type-ins for the Solomon Islands in quizzes? The country is also referred to at times as 'the Solomons', so 'Solomons' would make sense as a type-in. It and the Marshall Islands are some of the longest country names without type-ins (that shorten the amount you have to type) on Jetpunk (1st place is Equatorial Guinea, 2nd Marshall Islands, 3rd Solomon Islands)

Could use similar logic for the Marshall Islands too.

I think typing "Solomon Is" (a fairly common abbreviation) should be enough, same for "Marshall Is"

Actually they could even accept just "Solomon" or "Marshall", since people probably know those are "Islands" countries if they type those words in the first place

EQG would be a good one for that country.

I agree with this. In general, I would say I don't agree with adding a type-in for a country just to make the name easier to type in. I think a type-in should be available in cases where that type-in is actually used to refer to it. For example, people actually will refer to United Arab Emirates as UAE. Or people will say UK instead of United Kingdom.

And that is precisely the case with Solomon Islands. It is actually referred to as simply "Solomons" at times. So having it as a type-in isn't just a way to allow shorter answers. See how they even mention it in the Wikipedia page.

That's a good suggestion. Solomons should indeed be accept imho.

i would agree with marshall and solomon islands being abbreviated to "solomons", "marshalls", or "solomon is" and "marshall is"
