svg Coloring in Dark Mode

Submitted by cathlete on June 12, 2025
How does the recoloring of svgs work in dark mode? I assume it recolors certain paths, but I noticed in this quiz that the country shapes on top were recolored whereas it looks like the path of all South America below the countries was not recolored, resulting in a slight detectability of the borders in dark mode.

It might be nice to have an option of being able to block the slight recoloring of svgs in dark mode.

This is one of the things that really slowed me down on borderless drag the pin quizzes. You can set dark mode colours by using .dark-mode in CSS, but then the countries don't perfectly border each other or something, because those borders just never seem to go away fully. I have a secret method for making sure the borders aren't visible, but then maybe one day I'll find time to make more drag the pin borderless quizzes. ;)

I managed to fix it so the borders are invisible now, but I'm sure your secret is much more ingenious.

Also, if you haven't noticed, I dedicated the series that I put together to you!
