The End of the JetPunk Discussion Group

I don´t like to write blogs about topics like that, so I decided to write a thread here.

The JetPunk Discussion Group will end.

What was the group?

My vision was to create a group where JetPunkers could discuss to a variety of different topics. More to that in my introduction blog.

Reasons

1. I hadn´t time the last few weeks. The private life was very exhausting and there wasn´t time to write many blogs.

2. Inactivity. The last question from me was in August 2024. The biggest issue here is that the members don´t get notifications if I post a new question. Some didn´t recognize the group after joining.

What we have done

- The group reached a number of 28 members. That is a very high number and much more than I expected.

- Three blogs with opinions of JetPunkers could have been written:

1. World Peace - An Unattainable Goal?

2. The Bombing of Hiroshima - Was it justified?

3. Was the Treaty of Versailles fair?

How can future groups be more active?

It would be the best if JetPunk would implement that you can get notifications for new messages in groups, also if you are not the owner.

It would be also helpful if invite links are working for unlimited time.

What will happen next?

I won´t delete the group because I don´t want to lose the last conversations. You can join here, if you want to know what was going on there and who were the members.

Probably I try to get a channel in the blog server and will continue the group there, but I am not sure if I´ll do that.
