Approximately 2 weeks ago, thread and I were discussing an MB post (https://www.jetpunk.com/message-board/t/us-counties-world-record) about breaking the world record on the US Counties quiz. With some persuasion, I encouraged him to beat this record. After 2 weeks of hard county memorisation, he managed to achieve a time of 33:06 on this quiz, beating the old record by almost 10 minutes!
Here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gbSxgq_rTA) is the video proof of this. I desire that WPM...
Maybe if you guys are interested, I can interview him. He might write a blog about it too. Since he is banned from here, he cannot comment, so maybe I can relay his messages here.
He might work on improving his score. I'm sure he can achieve a sub-30 minute in another week. ldk, his choice I guess. This is already a pretty cool achievement.
Anyway, see you guys. I'll post again if I have something interesting to say. Pretty unlikely, but we'll see.
Also, there's no world record feature, right? How do you know it's WR?
Well, I just went off the other post. They claimed that their record was the record, and listed a bunch of known times. thread handily beat them, so I suspect he's the WR holder now. I guess if anyone has proof of a time beating thread, they can post it, but for now, it's him I guess.
thread told me he memorised these counties by associating them with each other, but I'm not sure about the specifics. He did memorise a few lists too.
I'll probably put a comment here or make a new post if something happens.
