Time to change Equatorial Guinea's capital?

It's been over a week since Equatorial Guinea changed its capital and the issue was discussed on the message board. Seems pretty definitive to me. Will featured quizzes be reset soon?

According to another person, it has been changed on the German section (I don't know how credible they are though). I really think it is time for Ciudad de la Paz to replace Malabo

I think it'll be changed within January. I don't think QM will reset stats but it's still a possibility.

Yes, I presume stats will not be reset except for quizzes where the number of answers changes (e.g., Capitals by Letter - M).

Are the government buildings and embassies and such actually moved already? I imagine it’d make sense to leave it until the move actually happens.

Did they have buildings ready? Or are they building them? Is that why Nusantara didn’t happen, because building was too expensive?

I think CDLP was already a developed city, so they just moved everything over.

It is partially built. The government intends to fully relocate services by 2027 according to Google. It was by presidential decree but it would appear as if the city is still considered a "luxury ghost town"

If we waited for that, it might never happen.

And we'd have to change the capital of Netherlands to the Hague.

Fun fact of JetPunk lore. In the very early days of the site, I was much less knowledgeable about geography than I am now.

At some point we actually listed The Hague as the capital of the Netherlands, probably because of something I read on Wikipedia. This didn't last long as some rather "helpful" people from the Netherlands were quick to educate me.

My current method is too laggy. I’ve had

that quiz made for a year but it’s borderline unplayable. I have to re-do the architecture.

The process has now begun. It might take a couple days to fully update all the quizzes in English.

Once that's finished I will post a spreadsheet of quizzes in other languages which use "Malabo" in case translators want to update for other languages.
