I found watching YouTube videos helped most, but I suck at Inkscape. I make nearly all my quizzes just in a text editor because I find it easier, and only do more complicated paths in actual Inkscape.
Holy crap, good luck with that. Ha ha. That looks like 2000 hours of work. I can’t help much, since the few map quizzes I made were just editing pre-existing SVG maps of continents and such and then just modifying pre-existing paths to match the source material. I actually just set my map to 50% opacity and then put the source I was using underneath to trace it. 🤔
You can only do that with public domain maps, though.
P.S. I think the best thing to do is just jump in and tinker around a bit. I found that better than videos and such. But hopefully someone better at SVG than me will have better advice! 😄
