Weird ads

Submitted by Gademotsili99 on April 23, 2026
So I was on JetPunk from chrome today and something weird happened. Without even pressing the ad, it wanted to redirect me to a site called rdxgo.click, but thankfully I have anti redirection settings, but still it was annoying as it lagged my phone and I had to close JetPunk. This incident happened twice. Writing this in Firefox where I have uBlock....

Actually it managed to redirect me to a site called sweepvibe.buzz, but thankfully urlvoid doesn't detect anything on that.

Something similar once happened to me, where an ad DOWNLOADED something onto my computer.

Unfortunately there's not much to be done, since all the ads are being served up by a third party.

That is sad then... Did it also happen here?

That's frightening.

Sorry about that happening. First of all just buy Premium. It's so ridiculously cheap.

Secondly, let me explain. We use a service provider that prevents this stuff from happening. However, it was configured incorrectly by our ad consultant, and we lost 30% of our ad revenue for 2 weeks.

We temporarily disabled the provider yesterday because of the lost revenue. I'll try to get a status update.

Ok that actually makes sense, as of the timing at least

Can you try to solve the problems of people instead of making them pay you?

Buying premium would solve this problem. And it's not very expensive. Skipping McDonald's for lunch one day would cover the cost for months.

Would if I could. Short of turning off ads there's nothing I can do. We are a business not a charity, even though people keep assuming the opposite for some reason.

Hopefully this issue will be fixed soon.

I'm actually pretty angry that we appear to have lost 30% of our revenue for the last two weeks.

Wait. Could this be because you are giving out free premium. Maybe if you left it like how it was before where you have to buy premium then you would regain that lost revenue. Just an idea.

No. That's not why.

I wish I could. I will buy premium when I go out into the world and make money, should be in like 2 or 3 years.

(that should get you premium for the next three years) :)

Doing a quick search on sweepvibe.buzz it doesn't seem to be a very safe website.

Let's say an irresponsible person visited the website, and it also happened to give a 404 error.

I wonder who tried this out lol

And yes, while urlvoid doesn't directly detect anything, scam detector has an incredibly low trust rating of like 10/100, as it is very new and most likely associated with phishing or malware anyway...

I'm surprised this happened anyway because we have very high CPM floors that should filter out almost all the bad ads anyway.

We'd rather serve no ad then serve an ad for a low rate.

I don't know. It happens to show bad ads sometimes, like your download is complete and stuff like that, but never had them pressed before

I’ve literally never had any of that happen.

Idk. Might be tied to the phone though, because it tends to show ads like that on chrome since day 1. Actually so did my previous phone, which was virus free lol
