What do you think are pointless Interstates?

Agreed, but it is a pretty nice interstate to have that's fairly well-maintained and in my experience rarely gets awful traffic. Anytime I drive on it, there's wide open space, few other vehicles, and it's very smooth.

Definitely not a necessary interstate though.

I-10 connects California to Florida. The I-10 section in Texas is longer than the UK is long! Millions of people use the I-10. It connects major cities such as Santa Monica and Jacksonville. The I-10 is not useless.
