To be fair, a lot of the sports are incredibly Nordic-centric lol
Take out Biathlon, and the US has the most medals instead of Norway. Same with XC skiing.
It would almost be like if there were an olympics where a good percentage of the medals had to do with American Football.
I would even say most of the sports mean absolutely nothing to a good 75% of the countries across the world. Summer Olympics on the other hand are much more inclusive and cover a larger variety of sports.
But either way, athletes like Mondo Duplantis and the Ingebrigtsens make a lot of noise for Sweden and Norway in the athletics portion of the Summer Olympics.
