James Joyce didn't publish Ulysses, he wrote it. Sylvia Beach published it.

I misspelt Nuremberg with a u, with a variety of eu/e/u combinations and I don't think they were wholly unreasonable suggestions. Could attempts such as Neuremburg be accepted?

Considering that in German it's Nürnberg, that's an understandable way to try and spell it.

neuremburg doesn't make sense because in english umlauts are represented by an e after the letter but nuremberg does not have an umlaut as the german is nürnberg anyway
