I agree that it is a poor clue. "Texas Tech" would have been a better one.

Definitely. Plenty in Lubbock more than cotton, and plenty of cotton elsewhere in Texas.

Several suburban neighborhoods outside of Baton Rouge, La incorporated in 2005 and named the new town Central City. Now that is one of the most boring names ever. It sounds like a soap opera or comic book town.

Lakewood is a suburb of denver. Also LA and Tacoma have a suburb named Lakewood. Probably a few others I am missing as well
