one more country and you would have earned 4pts.

I only missed Netherlands, and that should have been an easy one for export (as Rotterdam serves as a re-exporting hub).

Thank you Quizmaster!

These figures really demonstrate how strategically dependent Australia has become on China. Our economy is kaput without the China trade.

But balance of trade in Australia's favour - impressive.

That'd be thanks to iron ore and coal. We're China's mine.

Mostly surprised how much is imported from Singapore... are exports counted from where they last depart from or something? Seems crazy that Singapore produces that much from that small a place to export $5B+ to a single trade partner

What is Australia's main export?

I would assume ores, at least to China

About a third at least is minerals and fuels. Education makes up another big chunk (Asian students coming to study here).

Iron ore. Coal is second.

Yeah, overwhelmingly Australia exports resources - iron, coal, LNG, gold, copper, etc. Outside of that, the biggest are agricultural - mainly beef and wheat - with Australia having one of the largest food production surpluses of any country.

Surprisingly easy. Switzerland and the Netherlands might be unexpected but they're pretty much on every single top trading partner list.

No PNG, Pakistan, Spain or Canada had me wondering a little bit. But they're probably not too far behind.

Switzerland is gone now. I sort of expected to see South Africa in one of the last spots, but they're not exactly thriving these days.
