What is Micronesia doing there? Doesnt make sense. Are we counting for the full official name or the name by the country is known? Because the offical name of Brazil is Federative Republic of Brazil, Germany is Federative Republic of Germany. And the list goes on Federal Republic of Nigeria, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, etc.

For anyone mad about the inclusion of FS Micronesia, think of it like this. While we certainly call the USA "America", "America" is also used to refer to the landmass of the Americas. The country's common name is "United States of America" instead of America because it helps to denote its only certain parts of the American Landmass, ie the States. Same thing with Micronesia. Micronesia is the name of the Region the FSM is a part of. Its common name is "Federated States of Micronesia" and not just "Micronesia" because it's not all of Micronesia. It's just the four Federated States IN the region of Micronesia that make up FS Micronesia.
