Hm. I knew an Armenian girl in college who definitely had purple on her Armenian flag, but it looks from the internet like she had the colonial flag, which is very similar to the current flag, but the colors are all slightly different hues. The blue in the middle stripe is much closer to purple on the colonial flag.
Only Kazakhstan, Kosovo and Botswana do not touch the ocean (where bosnia is debatable, the Mediterranean is regarded as its own entity but is not a totally inland sea).
Intuitively it feels like argentina should be on here, but 2/3 of blue isnt enough to make this list (if you it at 16 flags). Somehow there seems to be more blue in it than fiji. (it looks more like 75%- 12% (the coat of arms)= 63% I guess looks are deceiving) though I really can't see how the coat of arms is only 3,3% of the flag... it seems much bigger.. ow wait .. there is blue in the union jack ofcourse aswell which makes the total go up again..
I don't know where the percentages are from, but the UK flag has something like 30-35% blue I think. The ones with the UK flag in the corner need a lot more blue to make this list. Most of them are island nations so blue is popular for them to represent the sea.

I doubt Hawaii wouldn't make the list.
