Delighted to see Joe Louis - the longest reigning heavyweight champ of all time - get his due. But sad not to see the Motor City Cobra, Thomas "the Hit Man" Hearns", not given his due. He was a brilliant fighter with an amazing reach.

Well he did put his show "Home Improvement" in Detroit and then also do the voice-over of the "Pure Michigan" ads.

I've heard people say that the place you spent your freshman year of high school is the place you will say you are "from".

I think this is accurate. My family moved to a new city at age 13. That city feels like my hometown to me.
