The average height for a Dutch woman is 5'6". 5'11" is way above average even for the Netherlands. Heck 5'11" is considered tall for an adult male in my country (Malaysia).
The average Dutch woman is above 5'7". 5'10"(which was in the orignal comment the "it is for a woman" replied to. ) is not wayyy above average, just a few cm. And 1 in 10 women are above 5'11" (and about 20% above 5'10")
I'm 5'10" (woman) and I never feel tall if I had to choose I would say I feel short (because at events there are always people in front of you that block the few, Yes those are generally men and not women, but when you are often blocked, regardless by whom, it makes you feel short rather than tall).
It also depends who you think of. People living in the Netherlands with roots elsewhere are gonna be shorter
When you consider that just 0.3 per cent of women in the United States are 5'10" and that the average height for a woman is 5'4", then it's fair to say that 5'10" is more than tall. I, myself, am 5'10" 1/4 and while there are girls taller than me (I'm 18) they are few and far between. I get it, men usually consider anything less than 6'0" short, but for a woman, 5'9" and up is like the equivalent of 6'2"/6'3" (for a man).
What do you mean "stop counting spelling"? We do accept a lot of misspellings, but we're not psychic. Secondly, the last name is enough. If you just typed Kidman and OBrien, it would have been correct (even though OBrien is misspelled).
Don't forget that the oldest versions of the Bible say that Goliath was 4 cubits and a span, which is still tall enough for this list (6'9"). Orthodox Bibles say 4 cubits and a span. It says 6 cubits and a span in your Bible, but not all Christians are Protestants.
Weird to include the 6'-6" Dennis Rodman. He's taller than an average person, but strange to include him on a "tall people" list when he was one of the shortest Power Forwards of the 80s and 90s.
He's not even the tallest person in the Bible. That would be King Og of Bashan, last survivor of the giant Rephaites, who slept on a bed 13 feet in length.
The Muslims have him beat though. One hadith says that Adam (the first man) was 90 feet tall.
The Prophet said: "Allah created Adam in his complete shape and form, sixty cubits tall..."
According to some Islamic traditions, the seventy-two virgins are also supposed to be sixty cubits tall (90'3"). They're also transparent, hairless except on the head, and don't defecate.
I'm a bit surprised not to see Gwendolyn Christie here. Obviously not every tall person is going to be named, but I'd argue she's much more culturally relevant than Nicole Kidman, or Uma Thurman who I had no clue were even known for being tall
