Why are Kosovo and Taiwan included but Palestine isn't??? Palestine is more formally recognized than Taiwan, there should be 197 total.

Because Taiwan is pretty much entirely self governed. Palestine pretty much doesn't have a government and while it has observer status, is not a fully recognized country.

Palestine has a PLO-led government in Ramallah, recognized both by Israel (recognizing the Palestinian Authority's total jurisdiction over area A and itself as the military occupier of areas B and C as per the Oslo accords) and 157 UN-member states. Taiwan and Kosovo are not fully recognized countries either.

It's increasingly obvious that the choice to exclude Palestine from all JetPunk quizzes is the conscious choice of website admins, who probably take personal political issue with the existence of Palestine.

There are several flags that look like they belong to a different continent/don't fit in with the rest of their surroundings. Not enough energy to search and list them. Maybe another time because I think it will be a useful tool for remembering. (atm I am at 136/196 without randomly guessing.)

I just listed them on another quiz and it greatly helped remember them for this quiz!

Got 100% this time :) (and only a few were not my first answer, still can't keep the african ones with stars apart for example (I don't mean somalia ;) )

Curious if I will still get them all in a month or 2. I hope I will at least remember 90%

Could someone please help me to understand why I don't see Palestine on this quiz? Did I miss it? Or did a country get ignored? I really don't understand.

Palestine isn't recognized as one of the official 196 countries on JetPunk for several reasons, namely lack of U.S. and U.N. recognition, and general lack of a government. On map quizzes where the Middle East is visible, the Palestinian territory is greyed out. I hope this was a helpful explanation!

Thanks to this test, I now know the flag of every country in the world!😋I especially loved how alike flags were put together, so you actually have to think about before you answer.

✨EXCEPTIONAL✨ though I really wish that there was a flag for Palestine, England, Wales, and North Ireland because even though these countries aren't always acknowledged as countries they still are and have a flag that would be useful to know🫡

Again, thanks so much for making this and if there isn't already, can you make a test for territories and they're flag, Thank you!

My first time getting them all and I did it in 9:45

I usually don't post times, but I've been wanting to know all the flags for years (same with capitals) but they never seem to stick. Not that I put much effort into actively learning them. (the flags that is, I have tried with capitals, though still need to master africa, oceania and the Caribbean)

But now finally with randomly picking up some flags on various quizzes here and there. I could name them all!

So it feels like quite an achievement.

For the flags of Sao Tome and Principe and of St Kitts and Nevis I just remember they have two stars for the two islands. For the Solomons, Cabo Verde and Tuvalu the stars remind me of the multiple islands.

It goes by Jetpunk conventions, so just like in the classic countries of the world quiz, it's only UN-recognized sovereign nations. I'm super pro-Palestine but the rules are there. If they didn't go by UN standards, we'd be memorizing a lot of aspirational states (and their flags as well) that aren't actually recognized.

I saw in a comment on the COTW quiz that there's another quiz for aspirational states though! Try searching the "Recognized, Non-Recognized Countries and Territories of the World Quiz"
