I mean, it only requires changing the "sm" to an "nz", but I'm not sure how you'd manage that.

Since Tazmania is an accepted type-in, my guess is that they hit z first due to typing too fast, then accidentally hit m instead of n, which are two adjacent keys.

S and Z are adjacent, M and N are adjacent as well, so you would only need to accidentally click off twice and also mess up the order. Possible, but extremely unlikely...

Just last year People magazine ran a piece on Bindi Irwin's family holiday to East Africa which turned out to be based on her posting to Instagram about a trip to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania https://dcoasia.com/2024/06/25/tasmania-or-tanzania-bindi-irwins-cradle-mountain-holiday-blunder-by-us-magazine-people-abc-news/

Surprised the average score is so low. There are a few tricky questions, but normally people on here are smart/geeky enough to know them.

Face palmed on not getting the Kremlin.

The question asks for the historic region, not the current-day administrative subdivision of China: their borders are not the same (some of the historic region is in modern-day Mongolia for a start).

How sad. Quizmaster thinks that everything on Wiki is true, despite all evidence to the contrary. I lived in France, never heard city of light for Paris. You should hear what the Bretons call it. Not on Wikipedia
