All you need to do is remember that Everest is in the Himalayas. Even though it is in Nepal/China not India, Himalayas is still the biggest mountain range in India also.

Brahma is the deity that represents the creation of the Universe, Brahmin is the varna category that someone belongs to and Brahman is the ultimate reality of the Universe which holds it together, so spelling should be key, you cannot accept Brahman since it is a completely different concept.

Brahmaputra should be included here. If you're taking the length of river IN India then Brahmaputra flows 900 km in India while 800 km for Indus. If you're taking the TOTAL LENGTH of the river then also Brahmaputra is longer than Ganges.

The usual system of digits originated in India, but numbers are universal. To say that zero was "invented" is of course wrong as well, thus the quotation marks... Let's say that it was brilliant to understand that zero is a number and to create a digit for it.

To my understanding the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 are modified from sanskrit numbers. The numbers 2, 3, 6 are same. 4 and 5 are slightly modified . 8 is used as 7 in reverse direction. 7 is used as 8 in modified reverse direction. 0 is.1 is modified and used as 9. 9 is used and modified as one. Just because the arabs told the Europeans about it doesn't make them the inventors

Yeah agreed, casteism still unfortunately exists. It might be better than it was 100 years ago, but there's still discrimination leveled toward India's underclasses. I read an article recently about how it's spreading to America as well. Like it or not, it's still a significant enough part of Indian culture to merit being on this quiz.

I may be incorrect, but as far as I know, they are called Indo-Arabic numerals, because these numerals and the system were developed by Indian thinkers, and were later exported by Arab traders who were culturally in contact with India.

Many other mathematical theorems, like the Pythagoras theorem, for example, were already thought of in India, an were exposed to Europe by the Arabs.

Bhagat Singh and Bose were not well known outside India. Moreover, they are controvertial figures. Mahatma Gandhi has pan india appeal, so it doesn't make sense to replace him.

Gandhi is followed a lot in India, but there are others too.

There are many more leaders who arguably contributed more to the freedom struggle than Gandhi. Like Bose.

It's just not really cool that Gandhi is the only Indian figure from the freedom struggle known to the rest of the world.

The question about the longest rivers in India by length should be Ganga and Godavari. If we want to lost 2 of the longest rivers in India, it should be Indus and Brahmaputra (both 2900 km in length)

Being a Hindu, I think it is wrong to include the caste question because the fact that you call Brahmins the number one caste means you are alluding to a feudal system created by the British, not the Hindus.

In the Vedas, it says all castes, which should be called varna, are equally important, therefore, there is not a hierarchy. It represents the skillsets that an individual can behold.

I would request that you would replace that question or at least remove it from your quiz. Otherwise, it is a great quiz.
