Walden Pond was the inspiration for one of the most legendary poetic works of modern philosophy. It is far more influential than a mere PLACE.

Carlsbad Caverns is a national park in New Mexico, USA. It is on the border of Texas and New Mexico, close to Guadeloupe Mountains which is on the Texas side.

In school (many years ago), we learned "Tibetan Steppe" not plateau. Interesting to read up on that area.

And strictly speaking, a fault is not a landform. Geologic feature, sure.
+2
Level 73
Jul 15, 2019
It's odd that you select Kilimanjaro, a volcano, for the "mount" clue, and then expect the entry of volcano for a different answer.

Also, Biscayne is a bay as well as a key. Possibly a key that is not also something else would be a better clue.

+2
Level 73
Jul 18, 2019
Further research indicates that, despite the name, Biscayne is not a key. Rather, it is a barrier island, with a significantly different geological makeup than the keys. I would definitely pick a different answer for this one.

+1
Level 87
May 5, 2021
How US-centric should it be? And how US-centric would it have to be in order to be considered "slightly" too US-centric as opposed to "far" too much so?
+3
Level 65

Four of the least guessed five answers are places in the US. That would indicate the quiz is too US-centric for the average quiz taker.

Can you suggest a more famous and recognizable pond?
+2
Level 56
Mar 23, 2026
It's not famous or recognisable at all outside the US (or at best North America).

Pond is a difficult one, because ponds are generally small and not significant enough to be sufficiently well known for a quiz like this. I'd suggest replacing pond with a different word.
