It was the Rappahannock, not the Potomac. Get your apocryphhal details right!

I tried this the other day, I guess a dollar just doesn't go as far as it used to.

I believe that's part of the "legend." It's possible, though reasonably unlikely, that he could throw a coin across the Rappahannock. But the Potomac is so much of a more "legendary" river in American history.

Up in Fauquier county it would be relatively easy to throw a coin across the Rappahannock.

Level 78

Yeah, that's what I was just thinking. It ends very rapidly. Up in west Virginia it wouldn't be so hard to throw across the Potomac either.

2 things: 1) Johnny Appleseed was indeed a real person named John Chapman, so Chapman should work http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnny_Appleseed and 2) Please make George correct without the affixation of "St" I knew George slew the dragon, but when that didn't work, I just gave up on it.

You would be correct. George was not canonized at the time of the dragon slaying.

Johnny Appleseed/Chapman is actually a distant cousin of mine from the Chapmans in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He did not have any children so he has no direct descendants.

chuck norris has nothing on charles nelson riley.

C.N.R made love to a manatee has his own line at the dmv and trained a rattlesnake to do his laundry.

He also eats coal and excretes diamonds every day. Ran a 4 minute mile blind folded with an engine block strapped to his back and won the tour de france with two flat tires and a missing chain.

Once he fell of the crysler building and barely scratched his toe. He figured out cold fusion and never told anyone and his toe nail clippings make a potent aphrodesiac.
