We must be showing our age. When I was in school, Tommy Boy was the funniest movie ever made and we all quoted it constantly. Do they even make comedies anymore?

Got all the others, but had never heard of Tommy Boy.

Looked it up after seeing this comment and seems it was a bit of a bomb, grossed $32m on budget of $20m and gets a 39% on Rotten Tomatoes, so perhaps not surprising so few people are getting it after all. Actually maybe more odd is that for a small group of people it has become a cult classic.

Never heard of Tremors. The only thing I could think of with giant worms in the desert was Dune, and that doesn't start with a T.

Why is there a "the" after Terminator?
+2
Level 67
Nov 18, 2022
because the movie's actual title is "The Terminator." "The's" are not considered a part of the title for this quiz, so it was put after to show that it is not considered in deciding the first letter of the movie's title.

This series, as fun as it is, is full of irrelevant details of USA geography. Why is Twilight in any way changed by them being "Pacific North West vampires" ???

A plot point of the movie is that the vampires shine in the sun. Therefore they have chosen to live in the gloomy forests of the northwest so they don't have to worry about sticking out.

There are many adjectives to describe the great Chris Farley, but "obese" is at the bottom of that list.
+2
Level 68
Jul 27, 2024
I guess at 5'7 - 5'8, and roughly 300lbs, "obese" falls lower on the list than more accurate descriptors, such as Class 3 Obese, approaching Super Obese, or maybe morbid obesity, or extreme obesity
