It’s meant as a cautionary tale. These are the things we need to know about to prevent the Belgians from destroying the world as we know it.

8/10 I've done a lot of research on Brussels recently for my trip there, but I forgot to research about Brussel Sprouts and Tintin. I can't believe I overlooked such important features of the city.

I know the quiz hedges its bets by adding "considered" and "de-facto" in front of "capital of the EU", but it's still wrong. The EU has three capitals. Wouldn't it be so much easier to just call it what it is, the "executive capital" of the EU?

German may be an official language at the federal level, but it is not an official language of the Brussels region, so question 5 is correct

I have lived 2 years in brussels. Although German is not official, you could go to the town hall and request forms in german and speak in german with workers. Just a curiosity

One might say calling the Atomium a "sculpture" is pushing it a bit …

Wikipedia calls it a building!

I clicked waffle then picked a different answer because I thought liege was more known for waffles

You are right, but these are two different kind of waffles. The one from Liege is made with more sugar and is very tasty by itself. The one from Brussels is lighter, but tastes like paper or almost of you don't put something on it, like whipped cream, fruits or chocolate.

Nobody (0%) thought that Brussels is considered the de-facto capital of the fashion industry :) Are the other answers (even the wrong ones) that much more likely or does Belgium not have good fashion?

There are good designers in Belgium but nobody will think of Brussels as the capital of fashion and other cities are much more famous for that (Milan, Paris...). Also in Belgium, Antwerp is the city associated with fashion more than Brussels.

Escargot are also a typical brussels dish, called caracoles. I had clicked on that before reading further and seing the more obvious answer : the waffle. But maybe escargot should be replaced by something obviously not brusselian.

Sounds like "caracoles" would have been the confusing choice, then, and it's fine as-is.
