Doesn't seem like Day After Tomorrow is a particularly popular movie here.

Please accept GCT for Grand Central. It's a pretty common way of referring to it in the city and its suburbs.

Visited New York, it's incredible! Mindblowing. A little bit different to New Zealand...

No roving orc armies or wizards with questionable Middle Earth allegiances to worry about. Unfortunately, no giant eagles to rescue you from certain peril either. But the subway runs 24 hours a day, so at least there's that.

Missed Times Square because I always thought it was Time Square!

Never heard of the triangle-shaped building, and I've driven past the World's Fair globe, but had no idea what the meadow was called. I'm American and I've been to lots of US cities but I agree with Kiwiquizzer, New York is incredible, especially to this wide-eyed farm gal.

I have to admit, I only got the Public Library because in the picture it has "The New York Pu" at the top. If that picture was cropped slightly more I would guess it would be quite a bit tougher.

I agree. I go to NYC a lot and lots of old buildings look like that, but the “Pu" gives it away.

Agreed. I thought it might be the Met at first and never would have guessed the library if I hadn't noticed "New York Pu..." on the picture.

The giveaway besides the writing is the two lion statues flanking the stairs. Remember that you can read "between the lions" and you'll always remember that's the main NYPL building!

Isn't the New York Public library where Ray, Eon, and company tried to "Get her?"

I knew it was from a movie. I tried the Museum of Natural History first. When that didn't work I figured out the correct answer on my next guess.

A couple of these (the library and the Guggenheim) are given away as you can make out the writing on the photo. I knew the library anyway but struggled with the museum until I realised I could see part of the name on the side of the building.

I will be the standard bearer for the outer boroughs. There's plenty outside of Manhattan: Verazzano Bridge, bronx zoo, Cloisters, Governers island, Staten island ferry, williamsburg savings bank. Those are the easy ones.

The Cloisters are in Manhattan. And, technically, Governor's Island is part of Manhattan, too.

I just walked past the Cloisters about fifteen minutes ago and can confirm it's still in Manhattan.

13 out of 15 and I've actually never been into any of the city, only been to the Statue of Liberty.

100%! All this quiz takes is Patience and Fortitude.

(Those are the names given to the two stone lions at the

NY Public Library don't you know...)

Aw man I don't know how I missed Rockefeller Center despite being there just 11 months ago.
