For Elvis I kept trying to think of a superhero that wore bellbottoms. Even tried "Great American Hero"......stupid cape...

I tried Evil Knevil too, I felt stupid when it worked but said Elvis, because that should have been my first guess

How about "Pearls, Cigar, Stained blue dress"? Too tacky? But you knew who it was right away.

Chuck Norris and Superman once fought each other on a bet. The loser had to start wearing his underwear on the outside of his pants.

As Elvis and Che are good by first name only, I think Marilyn should also be acceptable. Everybody knows who Marilyn is without adding a surname, which we are too lazy to type.

Then just type Monroe

I disagree. I wouldn't automatically think Monroe if you said Marilyn. She didn't go by one name like Elvis did.

She probably did go by Marilyn. I'm pretty sure if you said, "Hey Marilyn!" she would know you're talking to her.
