I wonder. The Netherlands alone has 400 municipalities. If I had to guess, I'd say the world has at least 100,000.

Slovenia has 212, Croatia 556, Serbia around 200 etc. Russian count is "only" 22327.

I got two. I can't believe I missed Hrpelje-Kozina and Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici. I've heard Črnomelj is lovely in the summertime.

Using the sort-of municipality definition we have defined here + Jetpunk's country list, there would be more than 940,124 answers across 193 countries (Vatican City and Kiribati don't have administrative divisions according to Wikipedia.)

I'm sure if i could get the proper number of every "municipality," there would be at least 1,000,000 answers on that quiz

It could be "states" so as to lower the final number. Still, how can someone name a "state" or "municipality" from Nauru or Swaziland. Itcould be applied to the biggest countries only, and still it would be a lot time consuming.

There's a lot of potential for at least one sequel. Would also like to see a much harder version with rather obscure islands from northern Russia, Antarctica, the Baltic sea, etc.
