Wikipedia says sea shanty, chantey, or chanty are used, and there has never been a standardized spelling, but the word may have originated from the French "chanter". Americans more often use chanty, while Brits more often use shanty, however both spellings are seen in each country. Chanty appears to be the older form. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_shanty

I have never seen chanty, we (in the netherlands) say shanty. I wonder if all countries have a word for it. Cause I somehow felt it was a typical northsea thing

Technically speaking, Aegean Sea is a part of Mediterranean Sea, so I guess the latter could also be accepted as an answer. I believe no one would argue that if Miami can be found in Florida, it can also be found in the United States ;)

Phuket is a big tourist spot, it's not that obsolete. Fun fact: there's also James Bond island near Phuket. If you've ever seen "The Man with the Golden Gun", it might look familiar.

Different, but sea anemones are animals that live on the sea floor and are not vegetables. The question could be disambiguated by specifying it shares its name with a vegetable (not just that it isn't one). While sea anemones share a name with a plant, you'd usually it a flower and it'd be stretching a point to call it a vegetable.
