I never knew the 'ana' was for Louisiana. They should have called it Texarkanahoma, since the Ok state line is 30 miles away, compared to 34 miles to La. ;)
I definitely didn't. I did get to say Eureka! Because I got one.. But that was through logic. Thought I might get about 5 or 6, but only the one. The state abbreviations did nothing for me. The first letter of the city might have gotten me there in a few instances.
I live in New York so the Long Island one was easy for me. But, even if it weren't, there's that wonderful Billy Joel line: "We took on diesel back in Montauk yesterday..."
These clues were excellent, because they demanded that you know something about the town/city - except for Eureka (which probably explains why it's the most-guessed answer at this point.
I hate to be a pedant but the St. Augustine one should really have the stipulation of "continuously inhabited" because Pensacola pre-dates it by several years.
