Good quiz! I kept reading "River on Tennessee's western border" as eastern. Couldn't figure out why Cumberland wasn't correct.

You should change Oak Ridge and add something more known like the Sunsphere in Knoxville I'm just giving a suggestion, since I was born there. =)

Smokey Bear, the mascot owned by the US Forest Service and the Ad Council, is properly spelled "Smokey" (with an E). Smoky, meaning filled with, or smelling of, smoke - is spelled without an E.

The Rural Electrification Administration (REA), which was part of the Department of Agriculture, wster actually the only "federal" agency whose employees worked to provide electric power across US rural areas. REA, now RUS, provided public electric cooperatives with low-interest loans to these coops so most everyone could have electricity.

This was all part of FDR'S New Deal, which provided jobs and helped bring the US out of the Great Depression.

I tried REA and wondered why it wasn’t accepted. While the TVA managed dams that brought electricity to the Tennessee River Valley, REA also brought electricity to homes in rural TN along with the rest of the nation.

Have you only heard 40 songs in total? Just kidding... they were clearly very talented, and if I could tell a joke half as well as they could play you'd probably be laughing right now.

I didn't see "choo choo" in quotations and spent a full minute wondering why it wasn't accepting the correct answer for the clue about "Last Train to Clarksville".

Someone already pointed this out, but TVA is not a federal agency. It doesn't even have a dot gov address. It is a public corporation with a dot com internet address. The agency you are referring to is the Rural Electrification Administration (REA). You should fix the quiz.

Two comments believe that the REA would be a better answer but a simple google search provides the right answer.

"President Roosevelt signed the Tennessee Valley Authority Act on May 18, 1933, creating the TVA as a federal corporation. The new agency was asked to tackle important problems facing the valley, such as flooding, providing electricity to homes and businesses, and replanting forests." ... "Today, TVA is the largest public power company in the United States. As a federal public power corporation, the TVA serves about 80,000 square miles in the southeastern United States. REA was also part of a federal agency which brought power to rural TN so shouldn’t it also be accepted?
