I tried caboose before I even read all the clues. I was sad.

Kept trying to figure out how I was spelling “puce” wrong. I clearly don’t know my colors.

Me too. I ended up googling puce to see what it looked like, and one of the first results was an explanation of why so many people think it's greenish - because the word looks so much like "puke"!

I couldn't think of any Clue/Cluedo weapon that rhymed with "oose" - I thought the official name for the one here was "rope"? Maybe a different clue for the same answer would work better? Also, for the "a² + b² = c²" question I've only ever heard the ending of that answer rhyme with "ooze" but maybe that's a US/UK thing?

Never heard "c" pronounced any other way than rhyming with "ooze" here in Canada

Turns out I can't spell the color or the c. Some type-ins would be nice

Chartreuse certainly doesn't rhyme with -oose if you're pronouncing it anything like right.

Agree, but I think this might be one with a transatlantic disagreement!

Apparently North Americans don't pronounce it as close to the French pronunciation as the Brits

Some of us do. I think we should substitute the color that resembles dried flea blood instead.

Thats... surprising given the number of Canadians that speak french. Never would have guessed chartreuse because there's no universe where that rhymes with oose

As a Canadian I would pronounce it rhyming with "ooze"

Same thing with mousse. In its original French pronounciation is has an exceptionally short u: sound that you cannot make rhyme with an oo-word.

Q: A group of these is called a gaggle.

A. A group of "goose" is a gaggle?

Seems like the question might need to be tweaked.

Was going to say the same. I also read that Dr. Seuss pronounced it "zoyce", but just went with how most people mispronounced it.

There are no nooses in Cluedo. Just a length of rope. Check out the official Cluedo website if you don’t believe me…

I hate the colours Chartreuse and Puce. Puce sounds like it should be a yellowish-green, and Chartreuse sounds like it should be a shade of dark red. I am officially making the demand to whoever names colours that their names be swapped.
