Dawson's Creek was filmed in North Carolina, but was actually set in Massachusetts. One Tree Hill was both filmed and set in N.C.

The state that is the setting for the Simpsons borders Ohio, Nevada, Maine and Kentucky. In other words, it doesn't exist. According to David Silverman the show takes place in Springfield, North Takoma.

Those who watched Frazier, did they explain why he moved from the Cheers location to the Frazier location? I presume it was to take his talk show job, but just wondering if they glossed over it.

You presume correctly. Also, he was originally from Seattle and moved home to reconnect with his father and brother after getting divorced in Boston.

Axe Capital was in CT the first couple of seasons, but I think it's very much a NY show. Maybe there's just not another truly CT show. I can't think of one.

For Northern Exposure I just kept typing Northern states because I had never heard of either shows. Somehow, I had missed Alaska.

For the show Billions: Yes, Axe Capital is briefly located in Connecticut for the first couple seasons, but 90% of the show happens in New York City.
