I hadn't heard of a blue dwarf. It's apparently a theorized type of (red dwarf) star that doesn't actually exist (yet). I'm not sure what a better answer is for this question--a few minutes' research on Wikipedia revealed that there is more nuance and variation to these terms than can really be captured in a pithy, interesting question.

It would be a good idea to mention the system of units while asking for it. In SI the answer would be meter. Decibel is in another system. Nice quiz though!

You're right that amplitude could be measured in meters. The quiz designer, though, wants to ask for a unit measuring a power ratio (of sound or anything else). Then both "bel" and "decibel" should be correct answers.

Graphite hasn't replaced lead in pencils because the "lead" in pencils was never actually lead to begin with.
