I got 5...and I'm Brazilian. I tried Madeira, the Island where Cristiano Ronaldo was born, tried Cascais, Fátima...But never heard of Vila Nova de Gaia, Barreiro(here is Brazil this is the name of a famous Cachaça, the national drink), Viseu or Almada...

Well, for Madeira you should have tried Funchal, the capital city of the island ;)

Vila Nova de Gaia is a Porto's suburb and Queluz, Barreiro, Almada, Cacém and Amadora are Lisbon Suburbs. Both cities have very limited area compared with other European cities and that explains the low population. In fact, there's no division between Porto and the suburbs and the same for Lisbon.

Agree. I live in Lisbon and we never think about Amadora as a city on its own. Cacém makes part of Sintra agglomeration. Barreiro and Almada can be considered something on their own though because they are on the other side of the river and are separate from other towns around.

Is tricky because some places in Lisbon area don't want to be cities. Sintra, Cascais and Oeiras for historical reasons want to remain as "Vila" (village),

They are bigger than most of those other places, but they are "vilas".

Many touristic cities are missing, which threw me off, like Nazaré, Évora, Fátima, or even Faro, which is close to the Algarve. But these? Never heard of most.
