State Individual Highest Tax Rate

There are 43 States and the District of Columbia (DC) which impose state income tax on individuals. The highest rate charged in that state is listed. Type in the 2 letter State or District Code to match the rate. For Instance 0% = WA since this state imposes no income tax. NY City also has an income tax max rate of 3.4% but not listed here. There are multiple states with the same rate (i.e. 5%). The states are listed in alphabetical order with same rate. This quiz is easy but it also gives you a comparison of tax rates.
