Great quiz! However the background to the category "forces of evil" was too dark. I assumed that box was just greyed out - didn't see any text.

I am told so. When I first read the books, I took for granted that Gwaihir Windlord is The Great Eagle. (And I still like the idea)

Why is it not accepting william but accepting bill?

Also, "Great Eagle" is a species. The name of the character is still Gwaihir.

I don't recall so, but he was mentioned by Gandalf when the group travelled to see Beorn, which counts according to the title.

I'm pretty sure Fundin is mentioned as Balin's father when Roac the raven is greeting him. But this is a great quiz!
