Leslie Green was the architect for the Underground Electric Railways Company of London (UERL) and designed a large number of stations for what are now the Bakerloo, Piccadilly, and Northern lines.
His stations are famous for their distinctive 'ox-blood' red-glazed terracotta façades and spacious, semi-circular windows at the ticket hall level.
The stations were entirely designed by L. Green, and some of them were later modified by his colleague Stanley Heaps.
Many of these original station buildings have since been demolished, heavily modified, or replaced, but they were all part of his original 1903-1908 design commission.
