Hi! There have been some changes to the Spanish alphabet since you learned it, and you can thank the meddling Real Academia Española for it. RR was never actually officially a letter; CH and LL were dropped as letters in 2010. In addition, V was renamed uve, W was renamed uve doble, and Y was renamed ye. Now the alphabet is a be ce de e efe ge hache i jota ka ele eme ene eñe o pe cu ere ese te u uve uve-doble equis ye zeta (A B C D E F G H I J K L M N Ñ O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z). That said, old habits die hard and in Mexico you would most often spell "vallaba" ("he fenced in") as "ve chica, a, elle, a, be grande, a."
