Just a note, if you're willing to change it - in "A Little Princess" by Frances Hodgson Burnett, she does not actually get her father back. Instead, the friend of her father who was accidentally responsible for her father's death finds her and restores her happiness and fortunes. Wonderful book selection - I've read most of these myself. Thank you!
