Does the US use any metric ? Here in the UK we use a mixture, we buy our fuel in litres but travel in miles. We buy our food in kilos but weigh ourselves in stones. We also quote both Fahrenheit and Celsius in weather reports !

Hi! I'm Australian so I'm not sure. As far as I know, Americans don't use the metric system, but in a scientific context they might, as it is pretty universally recognized.

we use it for science (and international business, obviously) and to measure guns for some reason, but not otherwise
